weekly Snipet's Photo52: Week 12 - USED JOKER (Added To 1st Page)

Gareth

Finally getting around to looking through other TP52's photos.

As I am behind I'll sart with Secure

Really good idea and the editing is perfect. I think you had little choice but to add the lines etc. in photoshop as it needed the clean look you would have struggled to obtain anyother way. I just wonder if you had photographed through a sheet of glass thus pushing your thumb flat, as if being scanned.

Industry is perfect nice DOF and colours :)

I initially thought the DOF was a little to tight but on looking again the DOF focus attention on the Roots, perfect :)

10/10 for creating the frog, the composition i really like, the dof & sharpness I Love - Super Shot (y)

Have to agree again with DK, that frog sure is small. Really like this **** lots :)

Thanks for the comments guys, glad its liked as it was a pain in the a** to fold, and even harder to get the focus on the right point.

HI ya

cracking shot for Handmade....neat idea to put it on a 5p piece as really shows how small it is , like the lighting & a very creative take on the theme....love it

Root....yet another imaginative idea & a very difficult subject to shot with it being silver...think you've done really well , DOF's a little tight for me but I'm still getting to grips with macro so (y)

Now that is small, lovely lighting with no blown highlights and as said a great idea to put it on a 5p piece, did you really make that

No, I found the 5p in my wallet, I did make the frog though. :coat:
I tried a few shots just of the frog but there was nothing to scale it against. Then just had a thought pop into my head and Ta-Da the picture was born.
Did take quite a few tries to get the focus point right though as I've lost my tripod plate :bonk:

I like the creative thinking in your handmade image Darren (y)
Nice peice of macro work there too, well lit and sharp.. not much more to add, good work. Iain

Darren? Who's that?
Thanks for your comment though, was fun preparing for this shot.

Wow Gareth you don't make thing easy for yourself do you! Most people would stuggle to make a frog out of A4 paper and then you come along and make this one! It's tiny and a great idea to put it on a shiny 5p for scale!

Not much else I can say that hasn't been said already by others, well done!:)

Thank you Sarah, but where would the fun be if we always took the easiest route all the time.
Only wish I could remember something more complex, but this seems to have been really liked so im still happy.

Money shot added today :naughty: (Hehe, sorry couldn't help it)
Sorry its not my normal personal/abstract take on the theme this week.

Money - good shot. It may be obvious but I think money is one of those themes that quite a few ideas are not possible as people tend to be a bit sensitive about letting others have access!!

The money band adds to the picture and makes it stand out a bit more.

Industry - I like this one. Nice rusty textures and colours. The background really works as well.

Root - Dof works well with the focus on the root part of this

Handmade - Clever stuff. I've made one of those frogs before but definitely not that small.

Money - Nice. For me you've got just the right amount of the subject in the picture.

Nice and crisp. Clean background and good use of DoF. Good shot

Thank you for the kind comments this week, didn't have much patience (or money) as my lovely motorbike was stolen this week.
So I'm glad the shot has been warmly welcomed even if it was an obvious shot.

Nice clean crisp shot with excellent DOF and like the band around the bundle!! and where did you get the cash?
Sorry to hear about your bike and I know you now have it back so hope you get it back on the road soon

Hehe, was bound to get the DOF right in one of my pictures. Their is only actually one £10 note, I used lots of A4 paper cut to size for the rest of the stack, then printed and cut the band to make it seem a bit more 'bundle of cash' styled.

And unfortunatly bike #2 is a total write off to, so time to start looking for another one, all over again :bang::bang:

Root, nice and close. Just the highlight on the tooth that drawn me away/in.

Money #1 is fun. Well composed and just the right DOF. The top of the frog is a tad over exposed on my laptop.

Cheers.

Money; may be literal, but it's technically a top notch photograph!

Hi Gareth playing catch up again, root bang on theme and very different to everyone else,

Money again another very simple very effective shot
