I’d certainly choose you over The Angry PhotograperWho ever washes a lab coat I wish Sony would send me free stuff to try like they do those folk on youtube, I'd be good at testing gear

I've had both of those and preferred the 35mm, a more useful focal length and faster focusing, great iq too.
Be available to purchase?
Being able to blackout-free burst shoot in silence with a huge buffer makes it my choice, well as well as not having the option between them.
AF probably won't be dissimilar, who knows.. the A9 has a higher processing speed, what real life difference this has.. we will see in reviews i guess.
There's also 20fps.. which is good for a laugh
I just read the A9 LCD has a higher resolution

Guessing you had a dud 55/1.8, then.
Evf is also betterBe available to purchase?

Better firmware budget?? LolThe EVF is a higher resolution too and runs at 130Hz
The AF system is faster/responsive scanning AF/AE at 60 times a second
AF system focus between during each frame due to no shutter / blackout.
It has a dedicate drive knob
It’s has a stronger body’s as both the back and lower plates are magnesium as apposed to plastic (better sealing?)
Longer product cycle
Possible better firmware R&D / budget
Oh it’s the A9 series, not A7 ..... Pro.
Think that’s it.
Better firmware budget?? Lol
They just released a camera at less than half the price that has superior video features [emoji23]
Also the autofocus feels identical bar being able to track eyes with a high degree of accuracy seemingly
No doubt it's much better in silent mode and the blackout free shooting is really nice from the A9
Given the choice again I'd pick the A7III everytime over an A9
From the information I had, Sony had a target date to release the Sony A9 and implementing the video profiles would have delayed that.Something tells me they A9 is capable of 4k60fps quite easily given the horsepower of the camera too.
The exclusion of picture profiles is very unusual and a definite minus for anyone that shoots video to the point of it being useless for anyone who shoots other Sony cameras for video
This guys post on it was interesting

Mark my words, Sony has some interesting planned for the Sony A7S III which will surpass the current A7 III 8-bit 4k spec.Maybe the A7smk3 wont ever come out and they will simply add picture profile on the a9 AND 4k and 60fps hehe

Sony said that the Sony A9's RS sensor design is more complicated compared to the standard sensors which run video profiles, they need more time to work on the firmware.
@jonneymendoza might be able to help.Anyone with experience of comparison with 1DXM2 using canon glass? E.g. for ice skating shows - spot lights, shallow dof, fast action.
The A7III video is a 6k to 4k downsample. Same as A9To be fair the Sony 9 was always marketed at the professional sports / wildlife / event segment and never as a video body.
Strangely enough the Sony A9 produces some very sharp and colorful 4k video, some say better than the A7R III and perhaps A7 III but without the video profiles! 6k -> 4k etc
I am not a video shooter so I don't really need the profiles, would have just been nice to have on the spec sheet lol
Well I just dont know what to do..
The Camera will be a nice gain as it will have stuff I want... such as Live View.. EVF... IBIS.... Eye AF
70-200 F4 will be find for me well I bloody hope so. As I just looked at some of the images I taken with my current 70-200 and a few are at 2.8 at the zoo must of been a dull day but hope to get away with it.
Kit lens there mix views on this from several places but with he AF ability of the A7iii will it be any good but must if Sony pairing them as a kit?
50mm 1.8 I was all set on to it but seem a bit put off.
I cant really afford any other lens just yet maybe in the summer if needed
Yep but whats the rolling-shutter effect likeThe A7III video is a 6k to 4k downsample. Same as A9
The Brickon D750 is a good cameraPersonally I don't rate the 28-70mm as much as others do.
This isn't a terrible review IMO.

My A7II just sold on ebay so think I am going for D750. All this chat about A7III is so tempting but I know I shouldn't. If I was getting the A7III, I wouldn't get the kit lens.
Well I just dont know what to do..

Especially dont beleive Riz,because his is still in his cabinet and Jonney works for SonyDon' believe the hype.
I have to agree, I doubt any of the Nikon / Canon or other 3rd party non native lenses will work as good as Sony's/Zeiss own native lenses.Don' believe the hype.
