The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

This morning I said farewell to the X-T10 and 18mm. It's been a good relationship. Going from the XP1 was the XT was a big gap, and I think that the X line of cameras are only getting better.
Considered getting an XPro2 but after shooting with an M8 for a little while, I wasn't staying as interested in the Fuji X. For the type of things I shoot, I find the M perfect for me. It's quite liberating having all the bells and whistles stripped away and just having the basics. Trying to use the X wasn't the same for me, so for now it's adios.

It may be something I regret down the line, in which case, the X-T1 or even XP2 would have dropped now doubt on the used market.

Will stick around. Some great stuff shot with the Fuji X in here :)

Eugh....I did the most stupid thing, I set the ISO to Auto 3200, all my holiday photos turned out in ISO 3200....none of them are usable.

Which lenses do you guys think that every X shooter should get first? I've got the 18-55XF at the moment and I'm pondering about what I want next. 35mm f2 or 1.4? Or a 14mm.... so many choices.

I have the 35mm f1.4 and I absolutely love it! It really is a great little lens and pairs well with both the X-T1 and X-T10. It spends most of its time on my X-T10 - here's a shot with it from this week.

Maybe an m9 :)

Oh no !

I've done similar but not for an entire holiday !

:(

That's pretty much inevitable now. After using both the M8 and XT10 last week, it was clear that I favoured using the M8. Despite being considered "outdated" by many. The CCD sensor really impresses me. Its just a joy to use and the M9 is the next logical move from that. :)

The Fuji X will always hold a special place to me in that it was what got me really into photography and shooting more regularly. They are great cameras.

That would depend which lens you need! They are very different and only you know what you need!!

I have auto ISO set to 6400 all the time and my pictures are fine. Must be something else you're doing wrong. Did you have the base ISO set to 200?

I feel like I need it all! Tried a X70 today, I feel like I need that too!
About the ISO, I checked my LR settings and for some reason instead of "default" it set itself to heavy grain in presets, crisis averted.

Depends so much on what you want/need! Personally, I'm not a fan of shallow DoF so am happy with slower zooms. Just back from a holiday where I used the 18-135 and 100-400 with the 1.4x telecon for almost all the above water shots, using a compact (X30) when I wanted to travel really light. Took the 10-24 as well but it stayed in the bag unused (don't tell Mrs Nod that though - the rule is that if a bit of kit doesn't get used on a holiday, it doesn't get taken on the next... :))

I'll guess a blip, the markets will recover when they realise we're not in freefall. Just yet!

Did you shoot in raw or jpeg ? If raw, as the Fuji sensor is isoless you can easily recover your pics.

Oops!

I appear to have won an auction.

XT1, 18-135, 35 f1.4 and X20 flash. With a Tiffen big stopper and 2 UV filters for the lenses.

I may have to sell the X100 I bought last week.

Oh well, I'm in the club now chaps

Congrats Terry, that sounds like a result.(y)

Thanks George.

Not sure if I got a good deal or not but kit is described "as new" and had the money.

We'll see how it performs when it arrives.

Just a simple shot of the "HMS Belfast" with "Tower Bridge" raised in the background.

That's it! Couldn't put my finger on the interesting light.

Seems to happen a lot this time of year, and it's a look I love - when skies above are dark but the sun is low enough in the sky to illuminate from the side.

:agree: . That particular Admiralty Disruptive Camouflage pattern always looks good in the sunshine.

Indeed it is, although a lot busier in the last few year, thousands go to see the sun rise

Fedex delivered the 50-140 from Panamoz and not as bad as I feared weight/size wise. Can definitely see the difference with IS settings - will be leaving it on all the time rather than shoot only,so guess that will affect batttery life a bit?
