The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

So, what AF settings you using for street photography guys? Not sure whether to try AF-S + zone or AF-S + wide / tracking.

I generally use AF-S Single Point but don't think it'll work as well, will it?

She even had matching nail varnish.
And pink wellies.
Bet she's never seen the inside of a slurry pit!

Just a simple Fujigraph taken at Folkestone Kent UK of a couple of Fishing Boats waiting for the tide.

I've been trying out a few different ways of working on my mono conversions and here's one of a couple of fishing boats at our local Harbour

X-T1, 18-55mm Lens, 1/1700 @ F5.6, ISO-200, Handheld.

@G.K.Jnr. thats a nice shot, but in my opinion the sky needs brightening up a bit. The conversion works really nicely on the foreground though.

Many thanks for that Tim, appreciate your comments.(y)

"I did actually think that myself about the sky but thought I'd post it anyway to see what others thought, and like yourself I was quite happy with the foreground. Many Thanks".

No probs, maybe drop a grad on it to lighten it up..I struggle with mono conversions myself

Took delivery today of some hire equipment for an upcoming wedding on thursday.
I literally about broke my wrist when picking up the Canon 6D and 24-70mm f2.8
Its amazing how you forget how big and heavy FF kit is when you havent used it for a long time.
In this shot the Fuji XT1 looks dwarfed by the 70D body in the middle let alone the 6D on the end!

I would be very interested to know how you get on with the speedlight on the FUJI.
What settings are you using?

Full manual on the fuji and set the desired flash power to suit the indoor conditions as there is no ETTL.
To be fair the 6D is the wedding workhorse, with the 70D for back up/long lens work.
The fuji is just coming along for a few grab shots if i get the chance e.g during the wedding breakfast when im not really needed anyway and some couple shots having gotten the B&G's consent to do so.

First attempts at a bit of macro, Helios 44m with a 20mm extension tube..... blimey it's really difficult, the dof is so shallow focussing is very tricky.

I rather think I might try again, it was a very enjoyable.

Looks good Andy. Which extension tube you using?

The lens came with 3 Helios tubes, 11mm, 20mm and 30mm. got the lot for £15... bargain.

That really is a lovely shot. How on earth did you get the Bee so sharp!

Many thanks. Think I just got lucky. Only went out to take my daughter for a walk around the block.

Spotted some nettles and flowers where a few bees were doing their thing. I did manage to get a few n focus but I think this is the best of the bunch.

Very pleased with this lens although have only used it briefly today. Nice and fast, sharp and renders lovely bokeh.

Just came back from on Vietnam taking my new XT10 with me and it was brilliant although I was learning the camera as I was using it on the trip! But now it leaves me with the urge to buy more lenses! The 18-55XF was great but most of the times I wish I had a fast prime or a wide angle lens.

I'm quite impressed with this camera, not as small as I'd like but definitely very nice in the hands.

I'm now part of the Fuji crew for life dare I say.
