Love them. It was only c. 10 years ago they were very scarce up here. Now, they're in every woodland just about thankfully.
Lovely capture Mike. The light compliments the colour of the plumage really well.
Had a walk around Cossington Meadow near Leicester earlier with the boy. The light was patchy but cannot complain. I did not get to photograph everything but we saw plenty of birds including: goldfinch, shovellers, teal, goldcrest, kestrel, cormorant, heron and a few others plus a fox.
