weekly Boots' 52 for 2024

I am catching up also, but on comments. "Hot", cropping down to focus on the two people walking right to left made it much more interesting and brought out the hot element more as well for me, bringing more attention to the lady sat in the shade. Just my opinion though.

Cutlery / Porridge spoon, I di like the symmetry and paralax effect, nice shot.

Thanks Alan, and I agree about the crop suggestion.

Good catch up, it's hard when you fall behind. I think Snapper's choice is my favourite of the bunch but I admire the colossal shoehorning of the prison shot!

Thanks Nick!

Another different take on the theme. As we are all doing "people at work" shots, something a bit out of the loop makes a pleasant change

Week 39 - Exit

Exit.JPG

The Meeting House (a sort of chapel) at the University of Sussex, in case anyone wanted to know.

I always want to know :)

Nice and abstracty :)

Works as a good abstract apart from the sign... I wondered about the direction too!

Week 40 - Candid and Tech - Panning

Well, it may not be great, but it is panning, and the driver didn't know they were being photographed. Publish and be dammed!

Catch up:

Might be my eyes, but the people one looks a little soft. Nicely captured though. The person with the dogs makes the shot.

Exit - nicely composed and fairly subtle sign.

Candid - I'd say it's stretching the definition of candid, but absolutely nails the tech. Really nice technique.

Thanks Kell! I can't argue with any of your points.

Our two young rescue cats (brothers) were inseparable a year ago when we first got them, they're not sharing like this any more!

Thanks Alan! Our are two and half now - they're not always inseparable though!

Cute. I love it when they curl up like this.

We had two black rescue cats that used to sleep like this. Brother and sister (apparently all-black females are very rare).

Unfortunately the sister was run over by a car at about 14 months old, but we still have the bro 13 years on.

Apologies for the thread hijack, but this was her (and my favourite pic of her):

We think they've got some Burmese in them as they were both very long-legged.

This is him... and that's a standard height bench.

No need to apologise at all, thanks for sharing your pictures. I love the picture of the female posing with the statues - such a shame you lost her.

One of ours is working on reaching up to open the door, but I don't think he has the reach of yours.

Week 42 - Local

Our local country park.

This is a five shot stitch.

Week 43 - Rough

At some personal sacrifice I have developed a rough face.

I can go and shave now.

Nice idea for rough. Although for Week 43 the tech was still 'Panning' :)
