I feel guilty about this when others are worse off. Including my wife and kids if it wasnt for what they have given me over the last 3 years and them doing with out things just for me that hurts.
 
Julian - get snapping asap! Lots of pics of the family too.

I am sure all they need is to see you happy - and hopefully the new gear coming your way will go some way to that!

In that case, what does everyone think about using some of the money to treat Mrs Wheels and the kids to a little gift or a day out or something?

Made a small donation although almost bankrupt at the moment :LOL:

Maybe when we get to a total - wheels can choose what he thinks is best for him (and his wife)...

It's good many people have made some great suggestions - maybe wheels himself can have the final say :)

Looking forward to seeing some of the results from the new kit in due course :)

There's always someone worse off but yours is photography related and that's what people are enthusiastic about around here. People are going to get enjoyment from seeing you get your new kit and from seeing the pics that you take with it.

I'm sure there will be a little something for the wife and kids to say thanks too.

Don't be feeling guilty.

Doesn't a certain Matt have some contacts at Oulton for a day with the superbikes if they are the chosen sport?
Do they run bikes at 3 sisters?

Other than that, Chester Zoo annual passes are not too much?

There is loads to do not far from Wigan- Tatton park annual pass, Blackpool, Manchester, liverpool etc. etc.

OK we now have two suppliers on board offering discounted kit - you know who you are and many thanks to you.

Rather than be put in the position of having to choose, could those parties PM me (again please - sorry: I have to keep emptying my inbox to make room for the 100's of messages I'm fielding) and I'll put you both together so that you can all be involved rather than one being left out?

Also FYI, some of the peeps at Nikon UK have donated money as individuals, even though the company itself cannot get involved at this level in such a short timeframe.

I agree with this. Even though the suggestions are superb, I think it would be best to give Wheeler the final say :)

Just thought you deserved another pat on the back for sorting all this out for a guy as worthy as Wheels. I, like most, have been honestly touched by the whole story, and development. That would be wicked actually! Wonder can we get Arkady to fly over and deliver them in person? Then get flash in the pan to swoop in with a few of his brollies and flashes and churn out a few excellent photos?

Love to, but I start my new Post at 1(UK)Div in Herford on Tuesday - might be a bit OTT to 'burglar-off' just after I arrive (even though I'm only here to do all my resettlement...lol)...

I think we'll manage to find someone with a camera to record the event for posterity...what are the chances, d'you think?
