Owch. That sounds expensive. Worse than forgetting to bring a longer lens (which I did today- the landscape shot is a crop from 35mm).
I dont think I ever heard what happened,Bet they were not besr pleased.

This afternoon's dog walk was through the woods with my Lumix S1 & 24-105 lensReddened Oak Leaves.jpg

A walk along the River Severn from Upper Arley to Highley with my trusty point and shoot, The route was really contorted as most of the foot path was under water !

You can normally walk around the front of this house and even drive a car around it.

Ducks and Swans in the orchard

There are a number of huts and Old Railway Carrages used as Holiday homes near Highley ( Mostly Fishing Folk as it is a Barble hotspot)

This was one of the better parts and also where I found I had a hole in my left Welly !

I was testing a new filter today at Murlough Beach: Revo Ring mk2 combined Circular Polariser with Variable ND3-1000. Still trying to get the hang of it never having used ND filters before, so my review will be a little while yet. However I took these today;

Highley's Old Vicarage and 11th century church on a dog walk( Good old point and shoot)

C1.JPG

A bit odd this one as I'm standing to one side to shade the camera from the sun coming in from the left this mean I am lower than the base of the church. This angle then tend to cause the affect of lean on the church but straightening the image makes it look wrong , I cannot win !

It is a strange one, as you say, something doesn't look right, I think because of the sloping ground and the buttress, something always looks out

I was about to try and capture a river scene with the late afternoon light on the reeds, when a Swan headed upstream.
It added a certain wow factor to the image (or at least I think it did )
Sadly I had the camera set to JPEG for some reason and it hasn't saved on here with as much "wow factor" as I can see on my lap top

Went for a womble in the forest around our local lac - Lac Montbel, Ariege, S. France. Photographing fungi - could not resist 'collecting' a few, including Chanterelle, winter chanterelle, horn of plenty and hedgehog fungi, so a wild fungi risotto was this evenings tasty meal -
