Just wow guys

I think I've got the Fuji bug again..... really want something smaller/lighter to take with me when I'm not specifically going togging, if I'm honest I'm feeling a bit out of love with my photography just now and I'm hoping something might spark my interest again, that X100T looks good as well though..

Recently purchased an X-T1, what a great piece of kit it is. I'm still learning all of the features on it. Has anyone used the wide/tracking focus mode yet. Not sure I've got it worked out as it appears to be focussing on b/g rather than the moving subject. Admittedly I've only used on runners but I had more success with single point focus. Opinions and advice on how to get the best out of wide/tracking much appreciated.
Thanks
Mark

Nothing like a fixed lens camera to give you your love back again [emoji106]

This might help :)
http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/pdf/x_t1_x_t10_af_handbook_01.pdf a guide to the new AF

Thanks Simonblue will read it just wondering what others thoughts on wide/tracking focus are.

Had the XT1 out today and came across this wee bridge, taken with my Fuji 16mm f1.4 and 10 stop filter

SF seems to work very well. But when I get back round to photographing cyclists it may be lacking.

Interesting will have a play with zone focus then. Anyone using the ultra high speed UHS cards in their XT1?

That's a nice shot @manualfocus-g , well composed with some nice tones. I like the slightly gritty PP work and just as a suggestion I think it would also work well with a slight sepia styled presentation.(y)

Same here cant see me going back to FF :)

Same here, started out with a d5000 then a d600 before jumping to Fuji for a year. Then in a moment of madness sold it all and bought a Sony A7 which I found horrible and frustrating every time I picked it up, so again sold it to buy a D610. The Nikon FF produces great images but man it's heavy and such a chore. Spent a few days reviewing my older images and decided my Fuji images were just as good as my FF Nikons, if not with better colours. So here I am back with Fuji and really enjoying photography again. Think it's easy (for some) to become ingrained in tech specs and forget about what matters. Although I do accept there are those who really must have the very best spec camera out there, whether they use it or not. Really can't see myself moving from Fuji again.

Wide tracking uses ONLY CDAF, it is therefore pretty useless unless you're doing a time lapse of a snail. Zone will give you better results but you have to remember to turn off face detect or it'll lock itself in CDAF as well. Wide will automatically turn itself into zone tracking when you set CH drive as well. This scuppered me for a while too.

Many thanks George, that's an excellent suggestion. I was a little lazy with this one and used the Ilford Delta 800 preset :)

Tut, Tut, whatever next, joking aside m8 the preset looks pretty good. I'm a huge fan of the Ilford B&W films and still use them extensively with large format studio work.(y)

Sounds a lot like my journey. Had Sony nex f3, then Fuji x-e1, then went Nikon for focus speed. Then back to Fuji x-t1, then to Sony a6000, now back to Fuji x-t1.

The Nikon was too big. The Sony never felt quite right. Missed the x-t1.

Hopefully this is where I will stay for a while. Surprisingly never lost too much in all the switching. In fact trading in the x-e1 I made money due to the rebates when I purchased it all.
