Have you got a Captain Willard "Seiko"? There's a very good homage with a Seiko movement. Tempted myself!
I've not heard of that one but I see that there are some very reasonably priced homages available.
For the price I think these cheap mechanical watches are a lot of fun and apart from an obvious DOA I've had no issues and if they arrived working they've stayed working for me. I just wanted something I'm not going to get mugged for or worry about it being damaged and it grew into a small collection of 12 homage watches. I think the biggest problem is choosing which original watch you like and if you can do that there's probably a homage of it out there. Just to be clear none of these are counterfeit and none of them carry the original expensive watch name or logo so they're all legal.
It's a shame Sekonda don't do mechanical watches any more. I have one I've had for over 40 years and it's still working fine, it's never been serviced ether but it is on its second strap, good going for 40 years
