Six weeks of searching with one prior glimpse, then just as I was set up hoping for some more Goldcrest photos my first Firecrest pops in. They are real fast and never stay still so I was very happy to get a few shot before it pops off again.

Annoying isn't it Jan, at the Knott Hide it came out and bathed and then jumped up onto the reeds to preen itself for about 10 minutes but the light was very disappointingWe were at Slimbridge on Sunday, Roger, and a water rail was showing well, but the light under those reeds was bad then as well. I did get several shots of it but binned then all due to high iso noise.
And i can't get a decent one of those..lol
