Nikon D750 & D780

Geeez, these are even better imo, really like those.
I guess you dressed your little princess for the colours to be coordinated ?

Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I've just about got out of it what I wanted. A couple more contrasty edits..

Is there an idiot's guide on how to setup U1 and U2 settings?

So that U1 has bbf and U2 has normal button af.

Also what other settings have you got setup on each of your settings, please can you share if you don't mind.

Thank you

Hi Kev,

Apologies for the late response, quite a busy weekend.

To actually save your settings to U1 or U2, all you need to do is set the camera up how you want and go into the setup menu, then 'save user settings.' Simple as that. Even saves whichever focus point you have it set to.

My own personal shooting setups are as follows:

U1 is my everyday shoot-from-the-hip setup. Aperture set at f2.2; Auto ISO set to minimum 1/250; exp comp -0.7; AFS-C D9; Auto WB; RAW; Standard Profile (only used for viewing purposes); BBF

U2 is my studio setup: Manual; ISO 100; F10; 1/160; AFS-S; custom WB (though a shoot a colorchecker passport); Mono Profile; RAW etc. I also have the BBF disabled as mentioned with the focus beep on.

Think that's it. All my quick links are on the favourites menu which, in order, are:

  • ISO Settings
  • Battery Info
  • Picture Control
  • Flash Cntrl
  • Time zone and date (to sync 2 cameras together)
  • Multiple Exposure
  • AF-S Priority selection
  • Assign AEL/AF-L button (handy for those moments when someone says, "can I take a picture of you both for you," when you're on holiday trying to balance your camera on a makeshift tripod)
  • Self Timer
  • Virtual Horizon
Hope something helps?

Yup. It was, as usual, a lot of fingers crossed. Initially went somewhere Sat night but realised it was private property and the gate was closed. This place was a tip off and had no idea it was so good. She’s had a very busy day and so slept on the way there, I was just hoping she’d wake in an ok mood. Was very clingy and so had to work quickly and pray.

These are beautiful

Yeah you do! Honestly mate, when I say it’s sooo much better than my 85 1.4...

You owe it to your kids! [emoji3]

Only thing I will add, is that it is a FL for a specific purpose. Pointing the obvious out I know but the extra distance isn’t so ideal for such little ones on your own say or how I’d shoot a wedding, I prefer getting closer in.

This is a near 100% crop from a frame shot through a mucky window with my 70-200/2.8 with a x2 teleconverter.

This one with the lens minus converter and window. I love backlit phragmites. Yet to get a really good pic of them though.

Thank you Sir for the above, will have a play.

I can see you have been busy, love all the picture you have posted.

The Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2 has just arrived, got it out the box and the lens seems to be rattling very loudly towards the rear, surely that isn’t right?

Also, is there no aperture pin on these new ones?

Update: Just put the lens on the camera, seems fine. Give it a shake, no rattle. Took it off the camera again, no rattle. Wondering if it was something to do with the VC?

Nah, they’d look better from a 135 [emoji23]

Are you on a mono trip? Cute though[emoji3]

I’d probably chop that lighter but off on the right or blend it in.

Definitely on a mono trip, had a hard time trying to get any colour looking decent as there's so much reflected green light.

Of course you do. Don't be so daft

[emoji33] [emoji33] [emoji33] [emoji33] [emoji33] oh noooooo.
I would guess no pin.

These pics are not helping my Gas!!!

I still need to buy some lenses but really stuck at what to get now!

Didn’t realise Peak Designs bought out a slightly revised slide strap. Looks like small changes that actually might make it work for me. New grey colour looks alright too.

But you'd have to coordinate with your outfit.

Where as black goes with everything :):)

Haha true! The grey is a bit different though and apparently bit softer and folds in bag better!

I have the old peak design slide design but rarely used it since i have the smaller leash. If foldability is important to you should look into it.

I don’t really do straps, which one is that?
He's speaking of the new peak design slide. All peak design strap are good for people that don't do strap because that's a second to put it on/off camera! But then if you really don't do strat at all you might not need one ;-)!

I probably don’t. I have a good strap somewhere but rarely used it.
