SHARE YOUR FILM SHOOTING OUTINGS HERE - Communal Thread (warning, may be picture heavy)

Crickey, with its roll film back , your snapshot resembles some sort of lethal weapon from the Vietnam conflicts  :$

It shoots dynamite and a laser beam... Guaranteed to blow your mind. :)

We were out again on Dartmoor last Tuesday, I decided to take my Yashica-Mat loaded with Tri-X, Mrs T did the honours again. :D

To avoid sitting through the never ending repeats of films on tv, I got off my bu.., ahem, sofa and decided to dig out some 35mm negs from 2015 and have a play with the Philips 130 enlarger and RC paper.

Talk about easy printing ( when compared to FB paper)

I rather like this one as there is some motion blur, just enough to express the work being physics done by the forger.EFE10164-CEAD-45E6-A91C-7ACA23912EAE.jpegE7C5CF90-37BE-4A28-B7F9-53B6CF88C419.jpegE7C5CF90-37BE-4A28-B7F9-53B6CF88C419.jpeg9FD56A2E-3F1D-46FF-A3C3-C8A75B2B8456.jpegCAB45E5A-7539-464C-ABB4-3DF16A18C741.jpeg

Love the dual purpose red beacon and enlarger.

I really like these shots, @Asha .
Thanks!

35mm frames from Nikon ales (f3 and iirc fe) back in 2014 /15

The chairs were in Nice, the other two artisans were at the Baroque fair in Sospel

A few days ago I went out with the canham and exposed two 5x7 frames, one of which involved some trespassing!

Negs now dry .
One has an object bottom that corner that unbelievably I didn’t notice before exposure.
A crop may work though not ideal.
Another scramble through an open window ( prised open by someone :naughty:) may be required for a retake.

In other news, atm I’m in the darkroom .
Printed one of the first exposures i made when I moved into Sospel several years ago.
IQ is not bad at all for a 12x16 inch print from a 35mm negative :)

So since I moved home last summer I have to confess that I have done very little photography tbh. ….sorry for letting the side down :sorry:
A mixture of reasons that I shan’t bore you with ( I hear a sigh of relief )

So anyway I’m out at the moment with the chamonix 45h-1

3pm here so at this time of year all in full sun .
A pleasant enough scene spect north, but hopefully when the sun begins to drop , the shadows formed will improve the seperation the buildings..
I might be tempted with a frame as it is atm whilst waiting.
Perhaps a snippet of cloud will appear a bit later too as there are some to the east, west and south but nothing where I’d like some in the north.!:crying:

You can always add some cloud in photoshop later.

An exposure approx 20 mins earlier may have produced a slightly more pleasing result with the deep shadows on the hills and the bottom of the image though there remains plenty of visible detail in the actual print.
Overall I don’t think it’s such a bad effort.

Possibly the biggest improvement in my prints came about when I embraced the concept of deep (dark) shadows. On the other hand, I have read someone who said that this was effectively aiming for impact at the expense of subtlety, and using Ansel Adams as an example of this.

I like the result above.

Chamonix 45h-1
90mm angulon
Delta 100

Two exposures, one with no filter, the other with a yellow.

A cloudy day today but it worked out well as when the sun shines through the camera set imposés into the scene.

Onward to another location with some other interesting relatively close up subject matter ….. here’s hoping the forecast showers stay away……F820C669-AC78-477F-8A7A-7905C91E1997.jpeg

I knew I should have returned home whilst the going was good….. no further exposures as rain and wind stopped play.

Never mind I’m happy to have a couple of frames to work with :)

Now the question remains, will I get home damp or drenched. The rain is behind me but I suspect it’s travelling faster than what my little legs can manage! :$:runaway::help::LOL::LOL:

Took the Bronica out on Tuesday, SQ-Ai with a 6x4.5 back on it loaded with Provia.

The shots will be in my Blog up tomorrow morning.
This is what I was shooting (cropped to 16x9) at this setup, there will be more in my blog this morning from other locations on the same walk.

A lengthy time in the darkroom and tbh I feel worn out , however I may just have managed to get a keeper on Agfa 16x20 paper :)

I pray that after dry down and viewed in daylight , I end up with the result that I hope for.
MEdit, The highlights also have a lot of detail in them contrary to my initial thoughts.
The iPhone image as usual doesn’t do the print justice .

So I’m up here amongst the castes ( the château ruins of Breil sur Roya) atm fighting with intermittent gusts of wind that not only risk taking the 10x8 intrepid camera for a flight but me with it!

It’s always windy here which doesn’t bode well with LF.

Anyway this potential exposure probably won’t work ( I’ve already prepared myself for that) , as it’s into the sun which is slowly dropping and will eventually fall behind the mountains to the left side as you look at this image .
There’s already been some nice pots of light but far too bright a sky to expose at the moment .

I’ll hang around and see what comes of the scene and maybe trigger the shutter.

If no good , this unsettled weather is forecast for a few days so possibly other opportunities to be had.

I’m only à 15mins walk from home too.

In actual fact looking at that image just posted, that in itself isn’t bad at all composure wise with the lake.

The buildings and pylons etc spoil it for me but overall it may be worth a sheet of film at some point

Remember that you're waterproof, but the camera and lens won't be!
Hmmm not so sure there Peter, I’m so sweet , it’s possible that I may dissolve like sugar :ROFLMAO:

I went out to shoot climbers as a possible for the FPOTY Solitude category, but I don't think b&w was the right choice on that particular day. :asshat:

For me , the first image works in monochrome Peter.

The others less so particularly the third which involves a bit of searching for the subject.

Nice togging project to do though , climbing.

Any free climbers ?? ie , them crazy enough not to use ropes ?:wideyed:

Bit of bravery so close to the water there Chris? o_O
It was a right faff, it's not obvious from the photo but that ledge is about 1m above the river and not very wide so I had to take the lens out to set the aperture because I didn't want to change the composition by spinning it around and then trying to get it back to the same place again.
